Khachapuri in Vancouver: Georgian cheese bread, baked from scratch
Khachapuri is the bread at the centre of every Georgian table. At Deda we bake it the home way: soft yeast dough, a lot of cheese, and for Adjaruli, an egg yolk and butter stirred in at the table. Coming to Vancouver by delivery, catering and pop-ups.

Coming at launchKinds of khachapuri we bake
Adjaruli khachapuri is the boat from the Black Sea coast, filled with cheese and topped with a yolk and butter. Imeruli is round and closed, the everyday bread of Kutaisi. Megruli is Imeruli with a second layer of cheese on top.
In Georgia khachapuri is made with sulguni and imeruli cheese. In Vancouver we blend local cheeses to get the same salty, stretchy result.
How to eat Adjaruli khachapuri
Stir the yolk and butter into the hot cheese, tear off a piece of crust from the end and dip it in. Keep going until only the bottom is left, then eat that too.
